I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share with you the inspiring story of Farha, a courageous woman whose journey from brokenness to blessing exemplifies the transformative power of faith. As a supporter of our mission to assist displaced and persecuted Christians in the Middle East, your contributions have played a key role in stories like Farha’s.
Farha’s story begins in a small village in northern Iraq, where she faced hardship and societal rejection at a young age. At just nineteen, she married, hopeful for a future of love and family. But her marriage quickly unraveled when her husband, who was not a believer, left her when she was just a month pregnant. In a society where divorce carries deep stigma, Farha returned to her parents' home with her son, carrying the weight of judgment and isolation.
For years, Farha struggled with her pain in silence. She sought comfort in churches, but found no one who truly saw her or her need for emotional healing. In a culture that does not readily acknowledge mental health challenges, Farha was left to wrestle with deep emotional wounds alone.
In 2014, Farha and her son moved to Erbil in search of better opportunities. It was here that she encountered the Peace and Hope organization, which offers not only financial assistance, but spiritual support to those in need. Through this organization, Farha met Dr. Sahar, a compassionate woman who gently encouraged Farha to turn to Jesus for comfort. “Jesus understands your feelings,” Dr. Sahar would say, and for the first time, Farha began to sense God’s presence in a real and personal way.
With the support of Dr. Sahar and the local church community, Farha started to heal. She began to see her value not in society’s judgment but in God’s love. Through scripture and prayer, Farha’s heart began to soften, and her self-worth was restored. She no longer sought validation in her appearance or the opinions of others, but found peace in being God’s beloved.
Farha’s healing journey continued, and five years ago, a new chapter unfolded when she reconnected with Professor Talaat, a believer she had met online. After facing societal pressures and gossip, they briefly separated in 2021, but God had a different plan. A year later, Farha reached out to him again, and their relationship blossomed. Within months, they were married, and Farha’s heart overflowed with gratitude for the man who loved her fully, despite the shame of her past.
Today, Farha’s life is a testament to the power of God’s redemption. She and her husband, though still facing financial difficulties, have found peace and joy in their marriage. Farha no longer carries the shame she once did; she now stands firm in her faith and her worth as a child of God. Farha is now a 4G3 Discipleship Institute graduate and has learned how to share her faith and help other women to know their worth!
Farha’s story is just one example of the countless individuals whose lives have been transformed through your support. Your donations provide displaced and persecuted Christians with the tools they need to rebuild their lives, both materially and spiritually. Together, we are helping women like Farha experience restoration and stand firm in their faith, no matter the challenges they face.
As we continue this important work, we invite you to stay engaged and continue your support. Your generosity helps to embolden these believers and ensures they are not forgotten. With your help, more lives can be transformed, and more stories of hope and restoration can be written.
Thank you for your unwavering commitment to this mission. May God bless you for your continued support.
