Today, the death toll from the earthquake in Turkey and Syria has exceeded 20,000. Add to it the cold weather, the snowstorm, and the fact that in ISIS-dominated areas, they will not give food or blankets to Christians whose homes have been demolished. We learned this through a report from one of our people in Turkey. 4G3/MELTI is sending to Turkey a team of three (George Hakim, the 4G3 training Director and his wife Sherry and Botros Isaac, one of the lead trainers). They leave on February 17 for ten days.
We need to raise $15,000 before February 17 to help 300 families who have suffered from the earthquake. This means $50 per family.
Sharo, is a Syrian pastor living in Turkey. He attended with 4G3/MELTI last June the preparation conference. He has a church with 35 Syrian refugees that is hosting one of the four discipleship institutes we currently have in Turkey.
Sharo will help 4G3 team buy blankets and heaters for three hundred families in Turkey. He will also be driving the team to the devastated areas.
Pastor Sharo and the 4G3 team will need to drive for 14 hours from Istanbul to personally give the heaters and blankets to the families who really need them.
Please write a note on your donation stating that the donation is for help with Turkey Earthquake.
