This Summer is a very special time for 4G3. We’ve launched a campaign called Transformed to Bloom.
The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon; they will see the glory of the Lord, the splendor of our God. - Isaiah 35:1-2
A desert bloom is a phenomenon that occurs in various deserts around the world. It consists of the blossoming of a wide variety of flowers which happens in early Spring.
A desert bloom is the result of an unusual level of rainfall which reaches down to the seeds and bulbs that have been in a dormant state causing them to germinate and to flower.
The wonder and beauty of a desert bloom is what the prophet Isaiah chooses to describe the long awaited manifestation of God to the Israelite people who find themselves in a dry and foreign land during a time of exile. The blossoming of flowers in the heart of the desert speaks to the character and nature of God who makes all things new.
The same promise made by Isaiah provides hope today. The God who causes the desert to rejoice and blossom is the God who opens the eyes of the blind, who unstops the ears of the deaf; and who delights when the tongue of the speechless sing for joy!For the next several weeks we will be sharing stories of displaced and persecuted Christians in the Middle East who are blooming where they are planted; living as victors not victims.We hope that you will follow along and join us with prayer and generosity for the ministry of 4G3.

Our goal over the next 90 days is to raise $75,000 to provide Discipleship Institutes in Syria, Iraq, North Sudan, South Sudan, Jordan, Egypt, Morocco and Lebanon. We’ll be sharing more about these Discipleship Institutes in the weeks ahead.

“I remember Dr. Wahid and his wife, Dr. Laila, coming every year to Syria with their mission team to hold a conference, training Syrians on standing firm in the faith. However, it was just one weekend a year.
